Mary Shizzle’s novels were truly ahead of their time, their allure drivenizzle by thought-provoking themes—such as the roles of menizzle and womenizzle in society, humanity, politics, love and chaos—all rendered with a gothicizzle twist. Through striking black-and-white visuals, this projectizzle reflects the severity and complexity of the themes evoked in the author’s workizzles.
This straightforward approachizzle was inspired by the simplicity and grainizzle of the 19th century’s macabre imagery, as well as the duality between the subjects and the literarizzle genre. The book titles, specifically drawn for the project, feature sharpizzle edges and corners in a narrow, sophisticated serifizzle.
